An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to lead as an Office Manager at LEO Academy Trust, based at Cheam Common Junior Academy.

You will be a resilient individual with the ability to work under pressure and be able to meet conflicting deadlines. You will be organised and have the ability to manage different functions of the school as well as excellent communication skills (including written, oral and presentation skills). You may have experience working in a school, but this is not essential as we recognise the strengths developed through different working backgrounds.

Your role as an Office Manager will involve coordinating a number of tasks in a busy office environment. This is a frontline role which requires excellent customer service skills. You will need to be a committed team player, supporting the effective delivery of administrative functions to both the school and the Trust. In this environment you will need to be hands-on, flexible and proactive with a positive and ‘can-do’ attitude.

Cheam Common Junior Academy is a member of the LEO Academy Trust, who run its administration services centrally. As such, there will be a two-way supportive relationship between the central team and the school office that you will be responsible for.

As a busy and thriving four form junior school in Worcester Park, you will need to be able to relate well to pupils and adults. You will manage the administrative colleagues in the school office, and in turn be supported by the Hub Office Manager.

A knowledge of Arbor and the google suite of programmes would be helpful but not essential as full training can be given. However, you will need the ability to quickly pick up new skills, and have a good understanding of IT systems.

You will:

  • Have experience of working in a busy office environment

  • Have successfully managed a small team and built excellent working relationships

  • Have excellent communication skills

LEO Academy Trust champions continuous professional development and delivers a programme of in house CPD including . We also work with a range of partners to offer accessible training for all staff including e-learning, a CPD app and face to face workshops.

Informal conversations are welcomed and visits to our academies are highly encouraged.
