LEO Academy Trust are recruiting for two School Office Assistants. Each role will be based at the following location:

  • Cheam Common Junior Academy, Kingsmead Avenue, Worcester Park KT4 8UT

  • Cheam Fields Primary Academy, Stoughton Avenue, Cheam SM3 8PQ

The hours for each post are 36 per week, with the exact hours to be agreed with the successful candidate. Please include in your application which post you would like to be considered for, and your availability for hours of work. 

Your role as an Office Assistant will be varied and involve contributing to a number of tasks in a busy office environment. This is a frontline role which requires excellent customer service skills and an ability to relate well with pupils across the primary age range as well as adult colleagues. You will need to be a committed team player, supporting the effective delivery of administrative functions to both the school and the Trust. In this environment you will need to be hands-on, flexible and proactive with a positive and ‘can-do’ attitude. 

You will be a resilient individual with the ability to work under pressure and be able to meet conflicting deadlines. You will be organised and be able to prioritise tasks in a busy environment. You may have experience working in a school, but this is not essential as we recognise the strengths developed through different working backgrounds. 

Both schools are members of the LEO Academy Trust, who run its administration services centrally. As such, there will be a two-way supportive relationship between the central team and the school office that you will be support. 

A knowledge of Arbor and the google suite of programmes would be helpful but not essential as full training can be given. However, you will need the ability to quickly pick up new skills, and have a good understanding of IT systems.
