The LEO Academy Trust is helping families with children eligible for free school meals to continue eating well and staying active during the Easter break.

The London Borough of Sutton based trust is providing free holiday activities and a food programme, which will see students take part in various music events and sports, including archery and fencing.

They acknowledged that school holidays are often difficult for families from low-income backgrounds.

Data from the Food Foundation highlights how coronavirus lockdowns and school closures intensified the challenges facing the most vulnerable families in society, as 2.3 million children have experienced food insecurity in the past 6 months.
