Matthew Warner - Sports Development Manager

Matt Warner is the Sports Development Manager at LEO Academy Trust. Matt joined LEO Academy Trust in January 2016 working as the sports coach and PE subject lead at Cheam Common Junior Academy. During his time at Cheam Common Junior they were awarded the Youth Sports Trust Gold Award, Challenge Partners Centre of Excellence for PE and Sport status and was named the Sutton Boroughs Active School Hero 2019. Matt became the Trust Sports Development Officer in 2020 working across multiple LEO Academy Trust schools promoting physical activity and boosting sports participation rates. In 2022, Matt was promoted to Sports Development Manager and now leads the LEO Academy Trust sports department, sports apprenticeship program and helps integrate the LEO PE & Sport approach to new schools joining LEO.
