Cheam Park Farm Primary Academy
The Cheam Park Farm schools opened in the mid 1930s.
Cheam Park Farm Infants’ School was based in Molesey Drive and Cheam Park Farm Junior School was situated in Kingston Avenue. The schools have always genuinely been part of the local community.
Over the years both schools became highly respected, sought after educational establishments. Families moved to the area specifically to gain a place at either school. Both had a number of successful Ofsted Inspections.
Cheam Park Farm Junior School converted to an Academy in 2011 and Cheam Park Farm Infants’ School converted shortly after in 2014. Each school had dedicated governing bodies who were keen to ensure the schools remained well funded in difficult financial times.
In 2015 Cheam Park Farm Infants’ Academy began an expansion project which over the next three years meant the schools converted from 3 ½ form entry schools to 4 form entry schools.
In 2015 Cheam Park Farm Junior Academy became the lead school in the multi academy trust known as LEO Academy Trust. LEO standing for Learning, Excellence, Opportunity. The academy successfully sponsored another local school.
In 2016 the two Park Farm schools amalgamated forming the now four form entry school known as Cheam Park Farm Primary Academy, which is also part of LEO Academy Trust. The governors believed that working in collaboration with other local schools would mean great strength in teaching and learning as well as the capability to procure better value services and resources.
A curriculum, enriched through music, sport and technology, has been developed, ensuring the children in our trust have many opportunities.
The school sites have been enhanced by developing two large halls, two community rooms, a 3G sports pitch and a well stocked environmental, outdoor learning area.
In 2019 the Primary Academy achieved an Outstanding Ofsted Grade - ‘Since opening as an academy, senior leaders have ensured that the quality of teaching and assessment to improve pupils’ progress has been their central goal. The impact of this work is now evident in all year groups, including the early years.’
Cheam Park Farm Primary is now part of the North Cheam Hub and works closely with Brookfield Primary, sharing staff and resources.
