Sarah is an experienced educator with a career in teaching that began in 2012. As the Trust Lead for Nursery and Reception (EYFS), she focuses on driving excellence in teaching and learning across the LEO Academy Trust. With over a decade of experience in Early Years, Sarah has a deep understanding of the developmental needs of young learners, having taught in Nursery, Reception, Year 1, and Year 2.

Throughout her career, Sarah has gained a broad perspective on educational practice by working in a diverse range of schools across the country, including those in London, Surrey, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire.

Sarah remains deeply rooted in classroom practice, teaching four days a week and leading EYFS at Cheam Common Infants Academy, to ensure her pedagogy remains current and effective. One day a week, Sarah works with the central team to provide bespoke support to schools within the LEO Academy Trust, focusing on improving EYFS teaching and learning outcomes. 

Sarah actively leads EYFS Network Learning Communities (NLC) and Writing Networks, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices among colleagues. Sarah also facilitates sessions for the 3-7 cohort of the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme. 

Sarah is dedicated to ensuring every child receives a high-quality early education, combining her extensive classroom experience with a passion for collaborative school improvement.
