We are incredibly proud to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our young footballers who recently competed in the County Finals of the ESFA Pokémon Cup. Representing LEO Academy Trust with great skill and sportsmanship, five of our U11 teams from three different schools took to the pitch in this prestigious national competition.

Our Finalists:

Hurst Park Primary Academy: U11 Boys & U11 Girls
West Ashtead Primary Academy: U11 Boys & U11 Girls
Cheam Common Junior Academy: U11 Girls

What is the Pokémon Cup?

The ESFA Pokémon Primary Schools’ Cup is the largest primary school football competition in England. Now in its fourth consecutive season, the tournament involves over 5,000 teams and 50,000 children nationwide. It provides a platform for young players to develop their skills, embrace teamwork, and compete at local, regional, and national levels.

County Champions!

A special huge congratulations goes to the Year 5 & 6 girls from Cheam Common Junior Academy, who put in a spectacular performance to be crowned County Champions. Their journey doesn’t end here; they will now progress to represent the Surrey Schools' FA in the Regional Finals this March. We wish them the very best of luck!

A Team Effort

Success on the field is a result of hard work both on and off the pitch. We would like to extend a huge thank you to our dedicated coaches from LEO Sports. Their continued excellence and commitment to nurturing talent across all of our sports teams is what allows our pupils to thrive.

It is wonderful to see LEO Academy Trust schools excelling locally, regionally, and nationally once again this year. Well done to everyone involved!
