LEO Academy Trust is proud to have been recognised as a case study in the Every Child Achieving and Thriving - Schools White Paper, published by the Department for Education. The White Paper highlights the Trust’s practical application of technology and AI in primary education and the positive impact this is having on both pupils and staff.
Enhancing Learning Through Thoughtful Use of Technology
Across LEO schools, technology is used carefully and purposefully to enhance – not replace – high-quality teaching. In classrooms, teachers remain mindful of screen time while enabling children to use high-quality digital tools to support creative writing. Pupils receive immediate feedback and suggestions, helping them refine and strengthen their work independently.
AI also supports teachers by:
- Automating aspects of lesson planning
- Adapting tasks to meet individual pupil needs
- Supporting formative assessment through analysis of pupil responses
- Generating tailored next steps for learning
This approach ensures inclusivity, particularly for children with SEND, who benefit from access to assistive technology when appropriate.
