We are incredibly proud to announce that Cheryl Shirley, our Director of Digital, has been selected as part of the UK K-12 chapter of the Google & GSV Education Leader Fellowship!
Joining an extraordinary cohort of digital directors, school leaders and Multi-Academy Trust executives, Cheryl is representing LEO Academy Trust on a global stage. This fellowship brings together the "architects of transformation" to redefine the future of education through innovation and technology.
Driving Innovation Across the UK
The UK K-12 chapter is focused on scaling success for every learner by exploring critical themes that are already at the heart of our mission at LEO, including:
-
Pedagogy-First Implementation: Ensuring technology serves teaching, not the other way around.
-
AI-Driven Personalisation: Leveraging artificial intelligence to meet the unique needs of every student.
-
Digital Equity: Removing barriers to ensure every young person has the foundation to thrive.
-
Administrative Efficiency: Using digital tools to reclaim invaluable human connection for teachers and pupils.
A Visionary Leader
As our Director of Digital, Cheryl has been a driving force behind our pioneering 1:1 Chromebook programme and our focus on PedTech. Her selection for this fellowship will allow her to collaborate with international experts and bring even more cutting-edge insights back to our schools.
"By exploring these crucial themes, these leaders are working to reclaim invaluable human connection for both teachers and students... ensuring every young person has a future-ready foundation to thrive." — ASU+GSV Summit
This recognition is a testament to the hard work happening across all our academies to ensure our pupils are ready for the world of tomorrow.
Congratulations, Cheryl!
