We are incredibly proud of the senior leaders and pupils from Manor Park Primary Academy who attended National Down Syndrome Policy Group’s event as representatives of Manor Park and LEO Inclusion team. The event was held at the Houses of Parliament on 21st March in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day.

It was an interesting and motivating afternoon, with discussions around the journey to full inclusivity for children and young people living with Down Syndrome. It was great to meet Secretary of State for Education, Gillian Keegan, at the event to hear children and parents' first hand experiences of living with Down Syndrome. It was also lovely to see some famous faces, such as ‘Call the Midwife’ actor Stephen McGann, supporting the cause.

Seeing so many people coming together to celebrate and raise awareness for Down Syndrome was incredibly inspiring, and we are very proud to have been a part of it!
