On 1st April 2023, LEO were excited to welcome West Ashtead Primary into our Trust! We are delighted to be working with them, as we continue to develop a family of great schools where collaboration makes a real difference for our children, staff, and communities.

West Ashtead Primary Academy is based in Surrey, and has been serving the Ashtead Community for over 50 years now.

"West Ashtead Primary School is delighted to be joining LEO Academy Trust. The Governors and I spent considerable time researching various Academies to ensure that we joined a Trust that aligned with our motto of Curious Creative Motivated as they are the key drivers for learners and underpin all our work in school. LEO certainly embodies this and more. It is a great opportunity for us all to work together enhancing the experiences and opportunities for everyone. Our children were very interested to discover the wide ranging digital innovations within LEO and are hugely excited about the 1-1 chromebook initiative. They have thoroughly enjoyed Now Press Play and some children will be attending BETT at the end of March. Parents and staff are also very supportive of this new adventure and the benefits that they have already seen. We have been warmly welcomed by all LEO staff we have worked with and look forward to the future with enthusiasm."

"In January 2023 LEO Academy Trust started the journey of working closely with West Ashtead Primary School. West Ashtead recognised, in LEO, the enthusiasm and commitment to work with schools to make a positive difference to all learners, staff and communities. LEO appreciated the importance of cultural alignment when welcoming new schools to the Trust. Curious, Creative, Motivated, the West Ashtead values, resonated with LEO which is centred around Learning, Excellence, Opportunity.

Even in the short while we have worked together we have begun building relationships and are sharing expertise in and around Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), technology, maths, inclusion, safeguarding and premises. WAPS is keen to offer all KS2 pupils a chrome book and engage in the 1-1 device programme.
We are looking forward to the summer term when the partnership begins formally."
